Hey Donna, I sure do remember you.  I was hoping everything was OK with you and glad to find out that you are still around.  Sorry about you having to go on oxygen at home now.  Don't stay away so long, now, you hear? - lol  We have missed you.  When I saw your post here I thought, well, there she is and so happy to hear from you.
Love ya,  Sharon

Hey Donna,
SO excited to hear from you again!  You have accomplished so much!  You are a great role model for weight loss and diabetes control.  Glad you are still enjoying your hobbies.  Your work is so wonderful!  Sad to hear about the lung issues, but you have overcome so much already, I'm sure you will find a way to turn that lemon into lemonade!
Thanks for visiting.  Come back soon!
Janis

Glad to have found ya all again :)

Dreading going on the home oxygen but full needs assessment is in a few weeks - but if it helps it helps ;)

Worked hard at my diabetes control as its the ONE thing that DOES respind to treatment with me and now been told am TOO WELL controlled and they want my hba1c around 5 not as low as 4.1% BUT I dont have hypos at all so unless I start hypoung am wary of changing things - if that makes sense :)

Missed you all loads and will defo be around alot more :) I promise :)

Welcome back Donna. Not too long ago,We were asking where our favorite Brit was. i still read the posts but don't get to post  much. Judy and I just got back from volunteering at a christian camp and we didn't have any wi-fi or cell service. This was a great welcome back to civilization surprise. Sounds like you have done very well. I hope all goes well with the lung problem. I will say a prayer.

Hi Donna,
All is well, thank's for asking.  Our schnauzer, Zoe, passed away on July 17.  Not ready for a new dog yet. Too soon.  I'm working on book #4, which should be done in the fall.  After that, I'll see about adding a new furry friend.

Thanks for your loving thoughts about my furr-baby, Donna.
My next book is for healthcare professionals. It teaches them how to communicate more effectively with their patients.  Lots of the advice I share comes from topics you guys brought up on this board. It is coming out next June.  After that, I hope to start writing another one for you guys.  You are never far from my thoughts!

Janis, Thank you for addressing something that has been a problem for eons. I have Dr.s that go out of their way to communicate with me but there are some that don't even try. I would like to see the book when you are done. I know Judy definitely would. She is a health care professional. She is currently advising the performance department at our local hospital. Last year, she was CNO while the were looking for a permanent CNO. When she accepted, the CEO and the CFO went on vacation leaving her in charge of the whole Hospital. Sorry for rambling but I am proud of her.

I look forward to your new book.  I recently had a doctor tell me that I was "obsessive/compulsive" because I choose to test my blood sugar more than once a day in spite of the fact I am type 1 and on an insulin pump.  The doctor claimed to be a diabetic specialist, but his bedside manner left a lot to be desired.
