It seems the very least they could do would be to offer you "gas money" with the prices of fuel being so high these days.

the hospital is only about 4 miles away. I offered to do a 6 weeks class once or twice a year for free but they want more than that. I would like a free cave but that is not going to happen either...

I know how it is Dan. I was asked to rravel to a small town here in NY, in 2008 and talk to a group of diabetics. They explained that they could not afford to pay me anything. The trip, motel, food, etc came to more than #300. All that, and only 7 diabetics showed up, along with a few spouses. Never again!

That was not right. They should have paid your travel cost. Want we to sent some rocks there way?

Hi,everyone today we had an exercise class .  We learned some interesting things, and we did chair dancing.  It was a lot of fun, and I got  a good workout.  Linda.

Linda, sounds like your class is more interesting and fun than mine was a few years ago.  Good for you.

I got an email from a family that wants me to teach tai chi to their 5 yr old daughter with cancer. She cannot be around other kids because the chemo has messed up the immun system . I am looking into a couple of kids programs to use.

I think you would make a great teacher for a 5 year old.  You could even show her how to 'throw rocks' at the cancer.  Good luck in your new endeavor.
